Our goal is to provide adults and children in our region with the tools they need to learn and achieve full educational competance, and the ability to master any subject.

Tutoring at Olivet Baptist
Wednesdays, November 5, 12 & 19, 6:00pm-7:00pm
(5-10 volunteers needed; Logan/Wednesdays)
Assist students with their homework and any other subject areas they need help with.

Discovery
Saturdays, November 8 & 22, 9:00am-12:00pm
(10 volunteers needed; North Philadelphia / Saturdays) Make a difference in a child's life by volunteering at Greater Philadelphia Cares Discovery program! One of our longest-running programs, Discovery is a fun academic enrichment program that offers hands-on science learning to 3^rd and 4^th graders of Sheppard Elementary School.

Tutoring at Northern Home for Children
Mondays, November 3, 17 & 24, 6:00pm-7:00pm
Wednesdays, November 5, 12 & 19, 6:00pm-7:00pm
(6 volunteers needed; Roxborough/Mondays & Wednesdays)
Spend time with students at this after school program. Volunteers will create an enjoyable environment to help with homework or work on reading comprehension and math exercises.

Writing Works!
Wednesday, November 19, 6:30pm-7:30pm
(2-4 volunteers needed; Germantown/3^rd Wednesdays)
Life skills will be taught using innovating and exciting writing based activities and workshops.
Volunteers will work with teens through a series of monthly writing workshops. No need to bring anything - all prep work is already done! Volunteers 18 and over, please.
